Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner Program Manager

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and operational oversight for the SANE Program to ensure compassionate care and regulatory compliance.
• Deliver clinical care to adult and pediatric victims of sexual assault as needed.
• Manage SANE program development, including researching and incorporating national best practices into policies and procedures.
• Coordinate and implement SANE training activities, initial and continuing education, and clinical precept opportunities.
• Strengthen collaboration among multi-disciplinary SANE partners and participate in statewide meetings.
• Provide clinical oversight and peer review for SANE nursing staff.
• Manage the monthly on-call schedule to ensure 24/7 coverage.
• Oversee continuous quality improvement, data collection, and submission to regulatory bodies.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or higher.
• Current Illinois RN license.
• Active BLS Certification through the American Heart Association.
• Current Illinois certification as a SANE-A and SANE-P (or ability to complete certification within 18 months of hire).
• Three years of nursing experience, preferably in an emergency setting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience as an Emergency Department (ED) Registered Nurse.
• Two years of leadership experience.
