Sewing Machine Operator

Responsibilities

• Receive upholstery cover materials and sew according to specifications and the Sewing Handbook
• Verify cut material bundles for accuracy prior to sewing
• Communicate missing pieces or material defects to the Team Leader
• Sew upholstery cover materials and identify completed pieces
• Ensure all completed units have accurate product information attached
• Place completed pieces into designated areas

Requirements

• Previous sewing machine operating experience
• Understanding of different fabrics and leather properties
• Ability to troubleshoot basic machine faults
• High precision and attention to detail for following patterns
• Good manual dexterity and multi-limb coordination
• Ability to lift and maneuver up to 40 lbs
• Flexibility to work scheduled overtime
