Setup Technician 4

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, calibration, and advanced troubleshooting of complex machinery to ensure peak performance
• Lead the setup process for new or upgraded equipment and mentor junior technicians
• Document process changes, adjustments, and problems, notifying the quality department as needed
• Perform visual quality checks and monitor press cycle times to improve product quality and efficiency
• Execute startup operations on machines and equipment, including grinders and dryers
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering specifications, and shop orders to determine setup and production methods
• Conduct complex troubleshooting of equipment and tooling and perform necessary adjustments
• Adhere to 5S standards, safety, environmental, and quality policies and procedures

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a plastic injection molding facility
• Proven expertise in equipment setup and basic maintenance
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical specifications
• Strong mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity for tool operation

Preferred Qualifications

• 2-year technical degree or equivalent in a related field
• Technical certifications in industrial technology or mechanical systems
• Certification in operating powered industrial equipment
