Setup Tech

Responsibilities

• Set up manual/CNC, mill, and lathe machines to produce metal valve and regulator parts according to specifications
• Read and interpret mechanical blueprints, including symbols for concentricity, runout, and surface finish
• Perform quality checks using calipers, micrometers, go/no-go gages, and other precision measuring tools
• Detect, contain, and resolve product defects and machine malfunctions
• Replace worn tooling and perform minor preventative maintenance such as cleaning and oiling
• Remove burrs and sharp edges using hand tools, grinders, and power tools
• Enter quality control data into the Statistical Process Control System
• Participate in 6S safety programs and Kaizen continuous improvement events

Requirements

• Proficiency in arithmetic, algebra, and basic shop mathematics
• Experience reading and understanding mechanical blueprints
• Skilled in the use of calipers and various precision measuring tools
• Ability to lift 45 pounds and perform repeated physical tasks
• High attention to detail with strong vision and hearing
• Ability to work a Monday-Thursday, 5:00 am to 3:00 pm schedule with overtime as needed
