About the role
Responsibilities
- Setting out forestry roads, foundations, and pile positions
- Managing day-to-day site quality assurance, surveying, and setting out duties
- Performing quality checks and approvals
- Checking subcontractor setting out works
- Producing Topographical surveys and final records
- Checking reinstatement works
- Ensuring compliance with OHSAS 18001:1999, ISO 9001:2000, and ISO 14001:2004 standards
- Assisting site management with health, safety, and environmental management
Requirements
- Demonstrable industry experience in a similar role
- Recognised Safety Qualification (e.g., IOSH or NEBOSH)
- Experience utilizing GPS Setting Out Equipment
- Experience with enabling works, access roads, and foundation construction in power transmission projects
- Proven coordination with third parties such as local councils and environment agencies
- Willingness to work away from home regularly for prolonged periods
Preferred Qualifications
- Supervisory experience in construction, access works, traffic management, or foundations
- Experience with conductor and fitting replacement works
