Setting Machine Operator

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate three setting machines to set teeth on bi-metal material to required specifications
• Use micrometers, dial indicators, and microscopes to ensure conformance to ISO specifications
• Utilize hand tools, wrenches, metal cutters, and overhead electric hoists
• Perform frequent quality checks on set, pitch, and other factors, making necessary adjustments
• Conduct TPM maintenance on equipment and report defective materials or equipment
• Transport materials using electric, hydraulic, or hand trucks
• Adhere to all safety rules, regulations, and practices

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Knowledge of charts, specifications, and micrometers
• Ability to use numbers, including decimals
• Ability to perform light physical effort, including lifting, pushing, and pulling 5 to 25 pounds
• 1-2 years of relevant experience preferred
