Setting Machine Operator

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate three setting machines to set teeth on bi-metal material to required specifications
• Use micrometers, dial indicators, and microscopes to ensure overall set, balance, and conformance to ISO specifications
• Utilize hand tools, wrenches, metal cutters, pliers, and overhead electric hoists
• Conduct frequent quality checks to adjust amount of set, pitch, and other factors
• Perform TPM maintenance on equipment and report defective materials or equipment
• Transport materials using electric, hydraulic, or hand trucks
• Observe and obey all safety rules, regulations, and practices

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent
• Knowledge of charts, specifications, and micrometers
• Ability to use numbers, including decimals
• Ability to perform light physical effort, including lifting, pushing, and pulling 5 to 25 pounds

Preferred Qualifications

• 1-2 years of experience in a manufacturing or machine operation environment
