Setter Technician

Responsibilities

• Provide first-line technical support to production operations and collaborate with Engineering to solve efficiency issues.
• Manage tool configuration according to production needs and perform efficient model changes on manual and CNC machines.
• Execute CNC programming and prove-outs for all production equipment.
• Develop technical skills in operators to ensure Value Stream objectives are met, including adjustments, setups, and process parameter development.
• Participate in problem-solving activities using methodologies such as 8D, 5 Whys, Ishikawa, and 4-step processes.
• Lead continuous improvement projects to address process issues within the area.

Requirements

• Technical degree in Mechatronics, Mechanics, or a similar field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role within the metal-mechanic industry.
• Proficiency with measurement instruments, tolerances, and blueprint interpretation.
• Knowledge of cutting tools, concentricity adjustments, and surface finishes.
• General knowledge of grinding, CNC machining, CNC programming, and automation processes.
• Availability to work on a 3-shift rotation.
