Sessional Lecturer

Responsibilities

• Design and deliver the BTC1600/1610H Biopartnering Seminar, covering biotechnology management topics such as regulatory landscapes, reimbursement, strategic planning, budgeting, and team management.
• Prepare and deliver course content through a sequence of invited seminars, student presentations, and instructor-led lectures.
• Manage all aspects of course administration, including the development and marking of assignments, tests, and exams.
• Facilitate student engagement through out-of-class interactions via email and scheduled office hours.
• Handle administrative duties including the calculation and submission of grades and ordering necessary course readings.

Requirements

• PhD and/or significant industry experience in the biotechnology sector.
• An MBA degree.
• Proven teaching experience in accredited courses at a recognized university.
• Substantial industry exposure relevant to biotechnology management and operations.

Preferred Qualifications

• Direct experience teaching courses focused on biotechnology management or graduate-level entrepreneurship.
• Demonstrated excellence in university-level teaching, supported by evidence from teaching evaluations.
• Prior appointment at the rank of Sessional Lecturer II or III.
