About the role

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct clinical care including medication abortion, surgical abortion (up to 19+6 weeks), LARC placement and removal, contraceptive counseling, STI treatment, and colposcopy/LEEP.
  • Offer clinical consultation to advance practice physicians to support medical staff.
  • Participate in center chart audits and review laboratory and diagnostic reports.
  • Engage in quality management activities, including debriefings and root cause analyses.
  • Ensure all medical services comply with organizational standards, regulatory agency guidelines, and HIPAA regulations.

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree.
  • Board certification in OB/GYN or Family Medicine.
  • Active New York State Physician License and Registration.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in surgical abortion provision.
  • Nexplanon certification and current ACLS certification.
  • Proficiency with Electronic Medical Records (EMR).
  • Expertise in sexual and reproductive health care.
