Session Physician

Responsibilities

• Provide vasectomies under local anesthesia at Schenectady and/or Newburgh health centers
• Offer clinical consultation to advance practice physicians
• Participate in center chart audit procedures and review laboratory and diagnostic reports
• Report medical complications and relevant matters to the Regional Medical Director
• Engage in quality management activities, including debriefings and root cause analyses
• Ensure compliance with organizational protocols, HIPAA, and regulatory agency standards

Requirements

• MD or DO degree
• Board certification in Urology or Family Medicine
• Active New York State Physician License and Registration
• Minimum of 2-3 years of experience providing vasectomies
• Current BLS certification
• Proficiency with Electronic Health Records (EMR)
• Ability to provide compassionate, non-judgmental, and culturally responsive care
