Services Technical Specialist

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair the full range of Spirax-Sarco products, including engineered package systems, pneumatic/electronic controls, instrumentation, and mechanical pumps.
• Represent the company in the field for commissioning, startup, warranty repair, and troubleshooting projects.
• Perform site evaluations and audits, specifically conducting steam trap surveys, system mapping, and wireless monitoring installations.
• Provide detailed technical reports and documentation regarding work activities and field findings.
• Collaborate with customers and internal teams, including engineering, project management, and sales, to execute service projects.
• Identify potential new business opportunities and communicate them to the sales team.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required (Vocational or technical degree preferred).
• 1-3 years of relevant experience in field service or technical roles.
• Strong knowledge of steam and fluid systems, or expertise in mechanical, controls, or instrumentation products.
• Valid driver's license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle.
• Ability to travel regionally and nationally 65-70% of the time.
• Must be located near Chicago, IL, Central Valley, CA, or Columbia, SC.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
