Services Engagement Manager

Responsibilities

• Shape and scope professional services engagements by translating customer requirements into defensible Statements of Work (SOW).
• Guard scope integrity by validating that proposed solutions can be delivered at target margins and identifying out-of-scope requests.
• Own the engagement lifecycle end-to-end, driving the engagement plan, cadence, and milestone tracking from kickoff through delivery.
• Orchestrate delivery resources, including Forward Deployed Engineers, detection engineering, and subject-matter experts.
• Manage engagement P&L by tracking burn against estimates, managing scope creep, and raising change orders when necessary.
• Drive formal customer acceptance and execute clean financial closure, including invoicing readiness and revenue-recognition support.
• Facilitate structured handoffs to Customer Success Managers and contribute reusable patterns to the services catalog.

Requirements

• Professional services delivery or consulting experience within the cybersecurity or enterprise software sectors.
• Proven track record of authoring SOWs, estimating effort, and managing margins or utilization numbers.
• Strong project and delivery management skills, including experience managing engagement P&Ls.
• Ability to manage executive stakeholders and maintain credibility with C-level security leadership.
• Fluency in SecOps or detection engineering to effectively scope technical engagements.
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical depth paired with a project management background.
• Experience working with third-party partners on jointly owned engagements.
• Background working in high-growth startups or MDR/security-services environments.
• Relevant certifications such as PMP, ITIL, Security+, or CISSP.
