ServiceNow CMDB/Data Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain data integration pipelines that extract, transform, and load data from ServiceNow CMDB into enterprise data platforms.
• Own and manage the end-to-end lifecycle of CMDB, including class structures, relationships, and reconciliation on the ServiceNow platform.
• Implement and maintain CMDB governance policies, processes, and data quality standards.
• Ensure CMDB accuracy and completeness by monitoring and improving data ingestion sources.
• Collaborate with ServiceNow developers, ITOM/ITSM teams, and BI analysts to translate operational needs into robust data solutions.

Requirements

• B.E/B.Tech/BCA/BSc in Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, and ETL/ELT development.
• Experience with SSIS, MSSQL, and building Python-based pipelines.
• Familiarity with ServiceNow CMDB data structures, tables, and REST APIs.
• Knowledge of data modeling (star/snowflake schemas) and data warehousing concepts.
• Understanding of IT governance frameworks (e.g., ITIL 4).

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with dbt (data build tool).
• JavaScript for ServiceNow scripting and custom integrations.
• Understanding of ServiceNow Discovery and ITOM processes.
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and orchestration tools like Airflow or Azure Data Factory.
• Experience with cloud warehouses such as Snowflake, BigQuery, or Redshift.
