Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and troubleshoot Microsoft SQL Server and MariaDB databases on multiple networks
• Support databases hosted in on-premise datacenters and cloud environments
• Perform patching and troubleshooting for database instances and applications
• Manage index and performance optimization
• Execute backup and recovery processes
• Automate repetitive tasks where possible

Requirements

• 10 years of experience as a DBA in programs of similar scope
• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline (or 4 years additional DBA experience in lieu of degree)
• Active and transferable U.S. government TS/SCI with FSP security clearance
• DoD 8570.01-M compliance with minimum IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+, CCNA Security, GSEC)
• Demonstrable experience supporting MS SQL, MariaDB, and/or Oracle databases
• Experience with index and performance management
• Experience with backup and recovery processes

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of AWS services, specifically RDS
• Experience with PowerShell or Python scripting
• Exposure to Commvault backup solutions
• Knowledge of SQL Server AlwaysOn
• Knowledge of Windows Event Log Filtering and Task Scheduler
• Experience supporting SharePoint implementations
