Requirements

Tenth grade education or equivalent, Physical ability for manual labor, English communication skills

About the role

Responsibilities

  • Clean and dust furniture, floors, hallways, stairways, and ledges using appropriate equipment
  • Recondition floors including stripping, refinishing, scrubbing, and buffing
  • Clean washrooms, including sinks, toilets, mirrors, and fixtures
  • Collect litter and manage waste/recycling removal
  • Clean carpets and remove spots or stains
  • Wash windows, walls, and partition glass
  • Move and reset furniture as required
  • Make beds for residence guests
  • Replenish supplies such as paper towels, soap, and sanitizers
  • Change light bulbs and clean fixtures
  • Clear exterior entrance ways of debris and perform snow removal when necessary
  • Assist with setups for special events and exams
  • Clean escalators and elevator interiors/exteriors

Requirements

  • Completion of tenth grade or equivalent
  • One year of related work experience is desirable
  • Physical ability to perform cleaning duties and use heavy equipment
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English (oral and written)
