About the role

Responsibilities

  • Strip, rebuild, or modify surface and underground hydraulic components including pumps, valves, motors, and accumulators
  • Perform modification, rebuild, and fabrication of drill components
  • Conduct testing to ensure accuracy of fit and perform fault finding
  • Assemble kits according to company documentation and update job cards for parts used
  • Troubleshoot service issues and escalate technical problems when necessary
  • Maintain high-quality workmanship and adhere to all company procedures and safety manuals
  • Maintain professional relationships with customers and suppliers

Requirements

  • Certificate III in Mechanical Engineering
  • Solid knowledge of hydraulic functions and the ability to read hydraulic circuits and schematic drawings
  • Proficiency in machining operations, including lathe and mill operation, and fabrication skills
  • Experience in rebuilding and modifying mechanical components
  • Computer literacy in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel
  • Strong planning, organizational, and time management skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Current Manual Driver's License
  • Forklift License
  • Certificate IV in Fluid Power
