Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Handle repairs to portable electric, pneumatic, and outdoor power equipment
• Troubleshoot tool failures by disassembling units to examine components for wear or defects
• Replace worn or defective parts and perform performance and safety testing after repair
• Inspect and analyze tools to ensure safe operation
• Complete work orders including labor, parts, pricing, and customer information
• Manage inventory accuracy for parts and accessories
• Achieve daily productivity goals regarding the volume of tools repaired
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Requirements

• Ability to interpret mechanical diagrams, wiring schematics, and printed servicing data
• Knowledge of electricity principles and air flow as it applies to power tools
• Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in equipment
• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations
• Proficiency with data entry and technological record-keeping systems
• Strong attention to detail and a goal-driven mentality

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a repair or technical service role is preferred but not required
• On-the-job training will be provided
