Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Handle simple repairs to portable electric, pneumatic, and outdoor power tools
• Troubleshoot tool failures by disassembling units to examine components for wear or defects
• Replace worn or defective parts to restore equipment to good condition
• Assist with the maintenance of shop equipment and maintain a clean, safe work environment
• Inspect tools and equipment for safe operation prior to use
• Complete work orders including repair parts, labor, pricing, and customer information
• Manage inventory to ensure accuracy with parts and accessories

Requirements

• Ability to interpret mechanical diagrams, wiring schematics, and printed servicing data
• Knowledge of electricity principles and air flow as it applies to power tools
• Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in power tools and equipment
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
• Goal-driven mentality with the ability to meet productivity goals without sacrificing quality
