Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Handle repairs to portable electric, pneumatic, construction equipment, and outdoor products
• Troubleshoot tool failures by disassembling units to examine components for wear or defects
• Inspect, analyze, and repair tools to ensure safe operation
• Perform performance and safety testing on equipment following repairs
• Complete work orders including repair parts, labor, pricing, and customer information
• Manage inventory accuracy for parts and accessories
• Achieve daily productivity goals regarding the volume of tools repaired
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment

Requirements

• Ability to interpret mechanical diagrams, wiring schematics, and printed servicing data
• Knowledge of electricity principles and air flow as it applies to power tools
• Ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in power tools and equipment
• Ability to perform simple mathematical calculations
• Strong attention to detail and a goal-driven mentality
• Proficiency with data entry and technological record-keeping systems

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience in a production or repair environment is preferred, but not required
