Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform gage installations, upgrades, and maintenance on customer plant floors
• Diagnose and repair gage-related electrical and mechanical problems
• Provide customers with clear communication and instruction regarding gage-related issues
• Check and edit application programs for computerized measurement systems
• Develop and provide training to customer operators on gaging practices and calibration techniques
• Provide accurate service reports of maintenance activities for customer signature
• Perform GR&R’s and correlation studies per customer specifications
• Travel domestically and occasionally internationally to support customer sites

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 5-8 years of experience in the machine tooling industry
• Ability to read electrical and pneumatic drawings
• Basic knowledge of PLC and gage configuration
• Proficiency with basic hand tools and machining skills
• Knowledge of indicators (e.g., indicating a spindle)
• Ability to travel for service assignments
