Service Technician

Responsibilities

• Inspect buildings and equipment regularly for needed repairs and improvements
• Perform necessary preventative maintenance and repairs on the property
• Implement maintenance policies and standards to prevent misuse of property appliances
• Ensure properties are safe for occupants, visitors, and workers
• Clean and prepare vacated buildings and rooms for new occupants
• Check electrical wiring for accuracy and regulatory compliance
• Check safety systems and devices monthly for operational effectiveness
• Participate in the on-call rotation for emergency maintenance
• Maintain an inventory of supplies, tools, and equipment

Requirements

• Mechanical skills for minor repairs and fixtures
• Knowledge of electricity to diagnose and repair electrical problems
• General maintenance skills
• Verbal and written communication skills
• Prior experience as a Service Technician or in a similar role
• Ability to stand for extended periods
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds without assistance
• Dexterity and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• HVAC certification
• CMRP certification or equivalent
