Service Shop Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform tests, installation, calibration, and maintenance on electrical systems
• Diagnose and correct faults in electrical and electromechanical systems using wiring diagrams and specialized test equipment
• Conduct tests on on-board, trackside, communication, and control systems
• Troubleshoot software configurations, system failures, and communication faults down to the component level
• Perform routine inspections, adjustments, and cleaning on signaling and assigned electrical systems
• Collaborate with engineers to investigate failures and refine test procedures
• Maintain complete and accurate records and adhere to all safety and quality guidelines

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in a test manufacturing environment or related field
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
• Strong mechanical inclination and experience with hands-on mechanical work
• Proficiency with common and specialized hand tools and test equipment
• Associates degree or certification in Electrical Engineering/Electronics, equivalent military experience, or equivalent work experience
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications

Preferred Qualifications

• Proficiency with TEAM Center and SAP Enterprise Software
