About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage the entire sales process, including uncovering opportunities, developing value propositions, preparing designs, and negotiating contracts.
  • Promote and sell Electronic Fire Service offerings and electronic services (Moves, Adds, and changes) to assigned customers.
  • Conduct building surveys to support the development of accurate estimates and proposals.
  • Maintain an active proposal backlog to achieve designated sales plan objectives.
  • Act as an Account Manager to ensure complete customer satisfaction through coordination of services like installation and training.
  • Perform market investigations within the assigned territory to identify new applications and provide sales forecasting.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of all sales-related activities.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of successful sales or technical experience in fire alarms, security control, monitoring, or a similar industry.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to persuade and close sales.
  • Highly self-motivated, success-driven, and able to work with a high degree of self-discipline.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to obtain required licenses as mandated by national, state, and local codes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or Engineering.
  • Ability to obtain NICET certification within the first 12 months of employment.
  • Experience working with electrical contractors and the ability to read blueprints and wiring diagrams.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and experience with Oracle or job costing systems.
