Service Rep/Dispatch Trainee

Responsibilities

• Assist customers with order-related transactions, inquiries, and account needs
• Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, builders, and key accounts
• Input orders accurately into the computer system and operate the cash register
• Partner with branch operations to ensure smooth order fulfillment and customer satisfaction
• Learn dispatch and logistics duties, including furnishing load lists and delivery sequences
• Coordinate daily pre-staging of loads and assist with truck scheduling
• Utilize load consolidation techniques to maximize efficiency and re-route drivers as necessary
• Assist in supervising yard personnel to ensure daily duties are completed on schedule

Requirements

• Minimum of 6 months of experience in a customer service position
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong telephone etiquette and customer service skills
• Ability to manage time, pipelines, and follow-ups independently
• Proficiency in order-entry and time management
