Service Reliability Engineer

Responsibilities

• Support Java-based applications and Spark/Flink jobs on Baremetal, AWS, and Kubernetes
• Assess application requirements for performance, security, and scalability to determine optimal service topology
• Build automation to enable self-healing systems and tools to monitor high-performance, low-latency applications
• Troubleshoot application-specific, core network, system, and performance issues
• Monitor production, staging, test, and development environments in an agile and dynamic organization

Requirements

• 0-18 months of experience in a Site Reliability Engineering role
• Solid understanding of SRE principles and goals
• Proficiency in high-level programming languages such as Python, Go, or Java
• Familiarity with Linux environments, including process management, file systems, and troubleshooting
• Strong knowledge of networking fundamentals (HTTP/HTTPS, DNS, TCP/IP)
• Ability to analyze complex issues, identify root causes, and propose effective solutions

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
• Exposure to cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure
• Academic or project experience with big data technologies like Apache Hadoop, Spark, or Flink
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes)
• Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows
