Service Product Owner

Responsibilities

• Define and own the product roadmap for the digital onboarding suite, aligned with the bank's retail and AI-led transformation strategy
• Lead and facilitate all Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, daily standups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives
• Translate complex business and regulatory needs into structured user stories, epics, and unambiguous acceptance criteria
• Prioritize the product backlog based on business value, compliance requirements, and technical feasibility
• Partner with Compliance and Risk teams to embed KYC, AML, and CDD controls into product design
• Manage delivery risks, blockers, and escalations while maintaining transparency through Jira
• Collaborate with UX/UI designers to validate wireframes and ensure a seamless customer journey
• Oversee SIT, UAT, and production rollout phases with clear governance and sign-off accountability

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a banking environment (Retail, RBWM, or Corporate)
• 5–8 years of experience with proven end-to-end product delivery ownership in financial services
• Deep functional knowledge of retail onboarding workflows, including KYC, AML, and CDD
• Strong hands-on Agile experience (Scrum or SAFe) and proficiency with Jira
• Proven ability to write user stories and define acceptance criteria independently

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Figma for wireframe review and design validation
• Exposure to CRM platforms such as Siebel CRM within a banking context
• Knowledge of AI, machine learning, or intelligent automation applications in onboarding
• Familiarity with CBUAE regulations and UAE open banking frameworks
