Service Plumber

Responsibilities

• Respond to service calls for commercial and industrial plumbing and gas systems
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain domestic water, sanitary, storm, and process piping systems
• Service, repair, and troubleshoot gas-fired equipment including boilers, unit heaters, and hot water tanks
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, testing, and system evaluations
• Identify deficiencies and recommend repairs or system improvements
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation
• Ensure compliance with Plumbing Code, Gas Code, and safety regulations
• Complete work orders and digital documentation accurately
• Maintain and operate tools, equipment, and company vehicle safely

Requirements

• Journeyperson Plumber certification (Red Seal or Manitoba equivalent)
• 3–5+ years of experience in commercial or industrial service plumbing and gas work
• Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently
• Solid knowledge of gas-fired equipment and hydronic systems
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean driving record
• Physically capable of lifting, climbing, and confined space work

Preferred Qualifications

• Valid Manitoba Gasfitter B (Class B) Ticket
• Experience servicing hospitals, industrial plants, or large commercial facilities
• Familiarity with mobile service reporting software
• Safety certifications (First Aid, Fall Protection, Confined Space, or Aerial Work Platforms)
