About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform planned maintenance on commercial plumbing and heating equipment including pumps, hot water tanks, and water filtration systems
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial plumbing systems
- Execute small re-pipe, retrofit, and tenant improvement projects
- Perform routine and emergency drain cleaning and plumbing tasks
- Complete daily service reports using mobile service reporting applications
- Compile accurate labor and material take-offs for work recommendations
- Participate in a rotating 24/7 emergency on-call service
Requirements
- 4th Year or Journeyman Plumbing Ticket
- Demonstrated experience in plumbing or mechanical service environments
- Clean Class 5 Driver’s License and abstract
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in confined or elevated spaces
- Willingness to join Local 488 Union
- Legal entitlement to work in Canada
Preferred Qualifications
- B-Gas or A-Gas certification
- Cross Connection Control Certification
- WHMIS, SCOTT, R&R, Mobile Aerial Platform, Fall Protection, or Confined Space training
