About the role
Responsibilities
- Manage and develop Service Team members and day-to-day service business operations
- Evaluate employee performance and provide consistent feedback to drive results
- Select, train, and develop employees to ensure all positions are filled timely
- Ensure the team provides a high level of customer experience and builds lasting relationships
- Address client concerns or complaints quickly and professionally
- Ensure department compliance with industry standards and regulations
- Delegate service tasks to ensure vehicles are repaired and returned on time
- Monitor employee work and provide ongoing guidance and training
- Assist with vehicle repairs on an as-needed basis
- Resolve people and safety issues in collaboration with Human Resources
Requirements
- Minimum 10 years of automotive service experience
- Experience managing technicians including selection, development, and performance management
- Proven track record of excellence in Customer Service
- Ability to analyze and interpret internal reports
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn proprietary DMS software
- Valid driver’s license with no recent suspensions
- Ability to travel on an as-needed basis
Preferred Qualifications
- AA/BS in Automotive Technology or Business Management
- Knowledge of HV systems, LV systems, and EV powertrains
- Start-up or fast-paced environment experience
- Previous OEM specific EV experience
- ASE Certifications
- EPA 609 Certification
