Service Manager

Responsibilities

• Lead the launch and daily management of a new residential service for youth aftercare
• Recruit, onboard, and manage a multidisciplinary team of professionals
• Ensure service continuity through effective staff resource and shift planning
• Manage quality, safety, and compliance with social care regulations
• Oversee documentation, monthly reporting, and client data management
• Collaborate with the City of Helsinki, social workers, and healthcare networks
• Monitor financial and operational performance of the service
• Lead through challenging client, staff, and safety situations

Requirements

• Higher vocational degree in social and health care OR a Master's degree in Social Work
• Proven experience in supervisory or leadership roles
• Work experience in services for young adults
• Valid registration in the Valvira professional register

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in child welfare, aftercare, or supported housing services
• Understanding of mental health, substance abuse, neuropsychiatric challenges, and trauma-informed care
• Experience leading 24/7 or mobile services
• Strong knowledge of social care legislation and quality control
• Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills
