About the role

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the Service Department focusing on teamwork, safety, and profitability
  • Collaborate with Branch, Parts, and Sales Managers to meet company goals
  • Recruit, train, and develop a high-performing team of technicians and support staff
  • Monitor technician training requirements and development opportunities
  • Oversee repair work to ensure accurate and timely completion
  • Maintain proactive communication with customers regarding service updates and concerns
  • Conduct regular department meetings regarding safety, financial performance, and service work
  • Manage warranty claims, service quotes, and administrative duties
  • Enforce safety standards across all operations

Requirements

  • 3+ years of supervisory experience in service department operations
  • Prior dealership service experience in the heavy equipment industry strongly preferred
  • Proven success in customer service and team leadership
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and dealer business systems
  • Knowledge of federal and state safety regulations for shop operations
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Strong problem-solving and organizational skills
