About the role
Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance, corrective maintenance, commissioning, upgrades, and refurbishment on wastewater and water industry equipment
- Safely handle treatment chemicals and perform chemical cleaning and dosing activities
- Provide technical and commercial support to customers to ensure equipment efficiency
- Diagnose and resolve mechanical and process-related issues on-site to minimize downtime
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with site operators and stakeholders
- Adhere to water industry standards, site-specific safety procedures, and environmental regulations
Requirements
- Mechanical engineering background preferred
- Experience in water, wastewater, process, or industrial sectors is advantageous
- Electrical knowledge is desirable
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently in a site-based environment
- Flexibility to travel to wastewater sites, including occasional nights away and weekend work
