Service Engineer

Responsibilities

• Commission, troubleshoot, repair, and analyze utility and commercial inverters and PV Solar equipment
• Perform DC tracker system maintenance, panel replacement, and substation switching
• Operate heavy equipment as required by site conditions
• Maintain knowledge of National Electric and Electrical Safety Codes (NEC, NFPA70E, NESC, OSHA)
• Work with high voltage DC, low/medium voltage three-phase power, and SCADA systems
• Perform O&M activities across the full scope of the site

Requirements

• At least 2 years of experience in PV Solar and/or PV Solar O&M
• At least 3 years of experience in electrical, electronic, or network communications
• Proficiency in English (written and verbal)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
• Ability to work from heights, on ladders, or with lift equipment
• On-call availability required
• Must reside within one hour of Needville, TX

Preferred Qualifications

• California Electrical License or Electrical Contractors license
• NABCEP Certification
• Associate's degree in a technical field
• Knowledge of solar and alternative energy markets
• German or Spanish language skills
• Forklift experience
