Service Engineer-Marine Electrical

Responsibilities

• Install, calibrate, and repair PLCs, electric drive systems, and ZF control systems (Krimpen and Arco).
• Provide onboard technical support for the installation, servicing, and troubleshooting of marine control systems.
• Supervise wiring and shipyard works to ensure compliance with technical drawings and industry standards.
• Coordinate with shipowners, consultants, and shipyards regarding project progress and technical issues.
• Support the Service Manager with technical assistance, documentation, and service reports.
• Train and mentor junior engineers to enhance team technical capabilities.
• Manage subcontractors, project costs, and schedules efficiently.
• Travel locally and regionally for vessel or shipyard assignments as required.

Requirements

• Nitec or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Hands-on experience in marine controls or electrical systems.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic technical documentation.
• Fluent in English (additional languages are an advantage).
• Willingness to travel locally and regionally.
• Physically fit for shipboard work.
• Strong problem-solving skills with a detail-oriented approach.
