About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform annual, periodic, and technical inspections of marine elevators on seagoing vessels and offshore facilities.
- Carry out planned, preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve mechanical, electrical, control, and PLC-related faults.
- Execute repairs, adjustments, parts replacements, and modernization works.
- Perform heavy field jobs including travelling cable replacement and wire rope renewal.
- Read and interpret wiring diagrams, technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Maintain accurate service reports, inspection findings, and parts usage records.
- Coordinate with Technical, Operations, and Project Management teams to support job planning.
- Uphold company HSE requirements and ensure all work is carried out safely and methodically.
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Mechanical).
- Minimum 10 years of elevator industry experience covering service, troubleshooting, and inspection.
- Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
- Willingness to travel extensively for domestic and international vessel attendance.
- Valid Light Motor Vehicle driving license.
- Legally entitled to work in the EU.
- Ability to work at height, in confined spaces, and in physically demanding environments.
- Medically fit for offshore assignments and vessel attendance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with rack and pinion / Alimak elevators.
- Experience with hydraulic elevators and escalators.
- Professional or vocational qualification in elevator engineering.
- Multi-brand experience with traction elevators.
