Service Engineer – Elevator (Spain& Portugal)

Responsibilities

• Perform annual, periodic, and technical inspections of marine elevators on seagoing vessels and offshore facilities.
• Carry out planned, preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve mechanical, electrical, control, and PLC-related faults.
• Execute repairs, adjustments, parts replacements, and modernization works.
• Perform heavy field jobs including travelling cable replacement and wire rope renewal.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• Maintain accurate service reports, inspection findings, and parts usage records.
• Coordinate with Technical, Operations, and Project Management teams to support job planning.
• Uphold company HSE requirements and ensure all work is carried out safely and methodically.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Mechanical).
• Minimum 10 years of elevator industry experience covering service, troubleshooting, and inspection.
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken).
• Willingness to travel extensively for domestic and international vessel attendance.
• Valid Light Motor Vehicle driving license.
• Legally entitled to work in the EU.
• Ability to work at height, in confined spaces, and in physically demanding environments.
• Medically fit for offshore assignments and vessel attendance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with rack and pinion / Alimak elevators.
• Experience with hydraulic elevators and escalators.
• Professional or vocational qualification in elevator engineering.
• Multi-brand experience with traction elevators.
