Service Engineer – Elevator

Responsibilities

• Perform annual, periodic, and technical inspections of marine elevators on seagoing vessels and offshore facilities.
• Carry out planned, preventive, corrective, and breakdown maintenance.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve mechanical, electrical, control, and PLC-related faults.
• Execute repairs, adjustments, parts replacements, and modernization works on elevator systems.
• Perform heavy field tasks including travelling cable replacement, wire rope renewal, and suspension-related repairs.
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams, technical drawings, schematics, and service documentation.
• Maintain accurate service reports, inspection findings, and parts usage records.
• Coordinate with Technical, Operations, and Project Management teams to support job planning and execution.
• Uphold company HSE requirements and ensure all work is carried out safely in challenging environments.

Requirements

• Diploma or degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Mechanical preferred).
• Minimum 10 years of elevator industry experience covering service, troubleshooting, and inspection.
• Experience with traction, rack and pinion, or Alimak elevators.
• Ability to travel extensively for domestic and international vessel attendance.
• Valid Light Motor Vehicle driving license.
• High proficiency with Google Workspace and modern productivity tools.
• Medically fit for offshore assignments, working at height, and physically demanding field work.
• Good command of English, both written and spoken.

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional or vocational qualification in elevator engineering.
• Experience with hydraulic elevators and escalators.
• Multi-brand experience with various traction elevator systems.
