Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, apparatus, and electronic components of industrial machinery
• Measure, cut, and bend conduit using manual, mechanical, and hydraulic benders
• Pull electrical wire and cable in conduit using manual and power equipment
• Install electrical raceways, lighting fixtures, controls, and distribution equipment
• Install and connect power supply wiring following manuals, schematics, and blueprints
• Test malfunctioning equipment and repair or replace faulty wires, cables, or electronic components
• Repair electric motors and maintain distribution boxes, switching gear, and control circuits
• Teach, train, and guide electrical apprentices
• Comply with National Electrical Code and company safety requirements

Requirements

• Valid state Journeyworker’s license
• Associate's degree from a two-year college or technical school, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to lift up to and in excess of 75 pounds
• Ability to climb ladders, work at elevated heights, and work in varying weather climates
• Ability to work night/weekend shifts and be on-call when necessary
• Ability to travel out of town and stay overnight as required
• Physical work constitutes more than 70% of the job
