Service Desk Technician

Responsibilities

• Provide Level 1–2 technical support for workstations, network, peripherals, and software licensing
• Diagnose and resolve incidents to minimize impact on VFX production
• Document tickets in the ITSM system and track SLAs
• Prepare, configure, and deploy Windows, Linux, and macOS workstations
• Maintain hardware inventory including high-performance GPUs and graphic tablets
• Execute internal desk moves and ensure proper network and power connectivity
• Provide technical support for projection and review sessions, including dailies and client screenings

Requirements

• 1 to 5 years of experience in technical support within VFX, post-production, or mission-critical IT environments
• Strong knowledge of Windows, macOS, and Linux systems
• Basic scripting skills in Python and PowerShell
• Proficiency with ticketing systems like JIRA
• Experience with deployment tools such as Ansible, Intune, or Kandji
• Familiarity with VFX software including Autodesk, Adobe, Nuke, Houdini, or Unreal
• Understanding of networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VLAN)

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with remote desktop tools such as HP RGS, Teradici, or Anyware
