About the role
Responsibilities
- Install and troubleshoot Windows workstations and Servers
- Install and troubleshoot stand-alone, LAN, and WAN systems, including VPNs
- Install and troubleshoot firewalls, routers, hubs, and switches
- Configure networks including users, RAS, TCP/IP, and printing environments
- Perform hardware assembly, installations, and repairs
- Install and configure software including Retail Pro, Teamwork, CounterPoint, and MS Office
- Test and repair customer hardware and provide on-site repairs
- Deliver technical phone support
- Participate in after-hours support rotation
Requirements
- 2+ years of help desk experience
- Strong knowledge of Windows OS, firewalls, security, and antivirus
- Experience with Windows networks, routers, hubs, and switches
- Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases
- Retail industry experience (sales, receiving, inventory)
- Excellent communication skills
- Willingness to participate in after-hours rotation
Preferred Qualifications
- Relevant technical certifications
- MongoDB experience
