Service Delivery Engineer, SRE

Responsibilities

• Build and manage distributed systems such as Galera, Nginx, Aerospike, ElasticSearch, and RMQ
• Deploy operating system vulnerability fixes to production systems
• Perform routine database maintenance activities
• Build and roll out proxy configurations to production systems
• Provide 24/7 on-call support across the SRE organization

Requirements

• 1-3 years of hands-on experience in Linux/Unix System Administration
• Proficiency in Linux CLI tools and system administration
• Experience with Disk and LVM management
• Understanding of system services, package management, and file permissions
• Knowledge of DNS concepts and Crontab scheduling
• Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Salt or Ansible
• Proficiency in Bash or Python scripting
• Understanding of database concepts including Shards, Partitions, and Truncations

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with MariaDB or similar distributed database systems
• Knowledge of Docker or containerization technology
• Experience with Nginx or proxy technology
• Proficiency with GIT
• Basic networking concepts and Linux-based firewalls
• Understanding of HTTP and TLS security
