About the role

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the transportation department and supervise on-site and remote Technicians
  • Manage route scheduling, inventory supplies, and driver debrief processes
  • Maintain high customer service standards and resolve service issues via open order reports
  • Monitor department productivity, staff performance, and recommend operational improvements
  • Review payroll and manage route vehicles, containers, and equipment
  • Select, train, and develop staff while conducting performance appraisals
  • Conduct safety meetings, ride-alongs, and spot checks to ensure compliance and safety
  • Oversee Driver Qualification Files, DOT Log Files, and Vehicle Condition Reports

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 1+ years of supervisory experience
  • Experience using integrated fleet, driver, and compliance management software
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally

Preferred Qualifications

  • In-depth knowledge of DOT regulations
  • Experience with JJ Keller software
  • Experience in the hazardous waste industry
  • Strong multitasking and professional communication skills
