About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and coach a team of drivers, driver assistants, and dispatchers
- Manage route scheduling and driver debrief processes to ensure customer service levels
- Ensure compliance with DOT regulations, environmental health, safety, and regulatory standards
- Promote safety initiatives and conduct regular safety meetings and audits
- Support customer satisfaction by resolving service issues and adhering to SLAs and KPIs
- Oversee service center management including facility maintenance, inventory, and asset management
- Monitor department productivity and implement continuous improvement processes
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in the transportation field
- 2+ years of proven leadership experience
- Knowledge of DOT regulations and standards
- Experience with transportation management software systems
- High School Diploma required; B.S. in an environmental-related field preferred
- Ability to complete 40-hour HAZWOPER training
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and maneuver around heavy equipment
Preferred Qualifications
- Active CDL
- Experience in the hazardous waste industry
- Knowledge of RCRA regulations
- Experience with Samsara or integrated fleet management software
- Knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, or Agile methodologies
