About the role
Responsibilities
- Perform service, maintenance, and ISO 10360-2/5 verification and calibration on CMM and Equator-X machines.
- Set up and measure using calibrated artefacts such as gauge blocks, spheres, and temperature sensors.
- Conduct performance analysis and error mapping using laser interferometers.
- Diagnose verification failures and advise customers on necessary corrective actions.
- Prepare and apply calibration labels, certificates, and technical documentation.
- Provide expert on-site guidance to customers regarding measurement uncertainty and machine performance.
- Maintain accurate calibration records and equipment logs within company databases.
Requirements
- HNC in Mechanical Engineering, Metrology, Mechatronics, or an equivalent qualification.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing, field-based role.
- A valid UK driving licence.
- Willingness and availability for frequent travel, including overnight stays and occasional international assignments.
- A methodical, detail-driven mindset with strong analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently at customer sites with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
- Proven experience in metrology, CMM verification, or precision engineering.
- Background working in high-precision industries such as aerospace, automotive, or medical manufacturing.
- Familiarity with Renishaw technologies including REVO-2, UCCServer, or QC Gages.
- Ability to interpret complex metrology reports and technical drawings.
