Service and Assembly Technician

Responsibilities

• Ensure professional and timely assembly of individual machines and modifications to existing plants
• Independently perform or supervise mechanical assembly, including machine alignment during repairs and retrofits
• Coordinate assembly processes both at the Hemer production site and at international customer sites
• Monitor and enforce all safety and environmental protection guidelines on-site
• Create structured visit reports and assembly documentation using company software (CRM, CIC, LMS, etc.)
• Perform troubleshooting and fault elimination for mechanical and hydraulic systems
• Conduct maintenance and repairs, including the replacement of worn or defective parts
• Maintain active customer contact and provide technical consulting to support service acquisitions

Requirements

• Completed vocational training as an Industrial Mechanic or Mechatronics Technician
• Solid knowledge of hydraulics, machine alignment, occupational safety, and environmental protection
• Proficiency in English (written and spoken)
• Strong MS Office skills (Word, Excel, Project)
• Willingness to travel approximately 35-40% per year (primarily within Germany and Europe)
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team

Preferred Qualifications

• Professional experience in a similar field of responsibility
• Additional training or certification as a Technician
