Service Advisor

Responsibilities

• Assist and educate students navigating administrative processes related to financial aid, billing, and registration.
• Provide support through multiple channels including walk-in, phone, email, live chat, and virtual meetings.
• Train students on using student information systems for tasks such as health insurance waivers, transcript requests, and course registration.
• Guide students through FAFSA submission, corrections, and financial aid appeal processes.
• Refer students to appropriate campus services including advising, career counseling, and housing.
• Maintain strict compliance with FERPA and other federal and state regulations.
• Solve complex problems related to overlapping university policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree and at least 5 years of experience in student or enrollment services.
• Alternatively, a high school diploma and 10+ years of relevant experience.
• Proven experience working in a diverse student and staff environment.
• Technical competence with student information systems and the ability to manage large amounts of data.
• Working knowledge of FERPA compliance.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively in a high-volume, collaborative team environment.
