Server Systems Administrator

Responsibilities

• Maintain and optimize large-scale healthcare hosting systems to ensure high availability and performance
• Develop automation tools to support operating systems and streamline administrative tasks
• Troubleshoot and debug code while monitoring overall system health for major healthcare organizations
• Create disaster recovery and contingency plans to protect critical data and services
• Coordinate with third-party hardware vendors and collaborate with developers and technical support teams
• Ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of hosting environments by following security policies and escalating incidents

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Math, Physics, Engineering, MIS, or a hard science
• A proven history of academic and professional success
• Knowledge of Linux or Windows administration
• Knowledge of virtualization, scripting, or DevOps processes
• Willingness to travel 1-2 weeks per year
• Eligibility to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship
• Ability to relocate to the Madison, WI area
• Availability to work 1st, 2nd, or 3rd shifts
• COVID-19 vaccination
