Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality dining services and hospitality within the HCZ community
• Plate meals according to proper portion sizes and manage serving line set-up and breakdown
• Maintain sanitary conditions by practicing safe food handling and a "Clean as you Go" approach
• Replenish salad bars and milk chests during meal periods
• Communicate daily menus and allergens to students to increase meal participation
• Collect student feedback regarding food quality and preferences
• Assist with stocking side stations and other designated areas with necessary supplies

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Valid DOH NYC Food Protection Certificate
• Minimum of two years of experience in food service or customer service
• Ability to lift, carry, and push supplies and boxes up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand for long periods of time, bend, kneel, and reach
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
