About the role

Responsibilities

  • Manage the lifecycle of library resources, including ordering, invoicing, receiving, activation, and subscription maintenance.
  • Secure access for new electronic journals and maintain accurate portfolio information for electronic collections.
  • Process incoming print journal issues, manage periodical binding shipments, and oversee the cancellation or replacement of periodicals.
  • Oversee serials weeding projects and maintain accurate record-keeping for both electronic and manual processes.
  • Identify, analyze, and resolve complex access problems related to continuing resources in collaboration with staff and vendors.
  • Collect and compile monthly and annual usage statistics and draft relevant reports.
  • Supervise and direct the work of one to two student employees.
  • Collaborate with Collection Services Librarians and the Orbis Cascade Alliance to optimize shared benefits and library workflows.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 1-2 years of recent professional experience in a library technical service setting.
  • Working knowledge of Alma and Alma Analytics.
  • Familiarity with MARC21 and MARC Format for Holdings Data.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience working in a higher education library setting.
  • Familiarity with COUNTER reporting standards.
