SEO Director

Responsibilities

• Own SEO/GEO strategy across a portfolio of ecommerce brand clients including retainers, site migrations, and ad hoc projects
• Conduct technical SEO audits and define remediation specs for engineering teams
• Set content strategy and collaborate with client brand teams on editorial planning
• Lead AI Search and GEO strategy, including LLM visibility and conversational content frameworks
• Build trust with clients through clear communication and regular reporting on KPIs
• Oversee SEO for site migrations, including URL mapping and redirect logic
• Define and evolve Domaine's SEO and GEO service offerings
• Hire and grow a team to support an expanding book of work
• Support the sales team through audits, proposals, and scoping

Requirements

• Proven SEO expertise with demonstrable results across ecommerce brands
• Strong technical SEO foundation in auditing and diagnosing issues
• Proficiency with GSC, SEMrush, Google Analytics, and SEO crawling tools
• Experience collaborating cross-functionally with engineering, content, and design teams
• Ability to manage multiple client accounts and prioritize work effectively

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in a digital agency or multi-client environment
• Hands-on Shopify experience
• Familiarity with AI Search / GEO strategies and LLM visibility monitoring
• Experience directing content strategy
• Background in business development, including audits and pricing
• Experience hiring or managing junior SEO team members
